You say no chair bags, does that mean no chair, or can you bring in the the folding chair with out the bag?

Yes, you can bring a chair without the chair bag, for security reasons.

Perhaps I misunderstand the restrictions on packages. Are ladies purses prohibited if they are larger than 6×6x6? I’m traveling with an elderly gentleman & I’d planned on bringing some “comfort items” in a backpack. If that is not permitted, I’m wondering if my reasonably sized ladies purse might do for some things. Besides the extra’s I’d hoped to bring-how do you bring in umbrella’s, rain gear, sweaters, hats etc if bags are not allowed? Thanks.

I am staying near the course and need my cellphone to let my hostess know when to pick me up. Is there a place to store my cellphone while I watch the golf and pick it up later? Alternatively, are public pay phones readily available?

is there any parking for people with disabilities?

We’re arriving via bus tour at 0830. Tee times don’t start for a couple of hours. Why can’t we bring cameras to see the players on the practice range? Depending on the weather, it would be impossible to carry water, snacks, umbrellas, sweaters in anything other than a small backpack. Give us fans who are paying substantial ticket $$$ a break.

What is the address of the public parking location as I want to MapQuest directions?

Comment from Doug James

Hello Mike,
The main public parking at $15 includes free shuttle service is located along on “Boulevard de Salaberry”.
There are no immediate house addresses in the parking area as it is large open grassy field area near large overhead Electric Power Transmission Lines. The closest cross street and address for Mapping purposes is as follows:
100 Walworth Dr. Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, QC. Canada H9G
This address should bring you very close to the Public Parking area along “Boulevard de Salaberry” which is also near Parc Elmpark. ( I used GOOGLE Maps to test this address. Type it in exactly as shown above with commas and periods.)
Hope this helps.

I see that no backpacks are allowed, and that there is a 6×6x6 limit on packages. Does this include ladies purses? To spend the entire day at the golf course I will want to bring a jacket, umbrella, water etc and would like to have something to carry them in. What do you suggest?

I read the comments and cannot find answers so hopefully this will produce an answer.
Please verify size of handbag as 6×6x6 is almost impossible to find in most ladies collection.
Eye glasses and make-up takes up most of the space so no room left for money and personal feminine
products.

I read many comments regarding extra clothing etc and how to be able to carry them. Does resort casual mean no blue jeans? What does clubhouse tickets give us ?

Hello. Could you please tell me what is meant by “golf attire (resort casual)”? I will be travelling all the way from Ottawa, by bus, and it would be a shame if I was turned away at the gate because I’m not properly dressed. I’m wondering which of the following, if any, would be acceptable:
- blue jeans (new, clean, no holes)
- running shoes / tennis shoes
- blue or brown shorts (about 4 inches above the knee) (new, clean, no holes; hiking shorts with multiple pockets; they are NOT cut-offs or gym shorts)
- white tee shirt (either long sleeved or short sleeved; no collar; new, clean, no holes, one small logo).

Thank you.

I am diabetic and take insulin medication. Are you telling me that security will not allow a backpack if that is all that is contained within the pack (in addition to sugar tablets and a few cereal bars–all for medical purposes).

In addition, am i correct in understanding that it is pointless to bring a SLR Nikon Camera for photo opportunities. I, like many others, am travelling 6hours to see this event and want to make sure of what i am/am not bringing for the day on Saturday.

Kindest regards,

Hey Dean, you can only bring your SLR to the Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds. I wouldn’t chance bringing any camera gear Thurs to Sun.

Seeing that camera gear is allowed, does that inlude camera bags? Or would a camera bag have to be smaller than 6×6x6? Who came up with those dimentions?!

Will someone in the know (ie. someone from the Presidents Cup organization) answer these questions, please? Why invite comments and questions if they go unanswered?

I just got off the phone after calling the above number. The woman did not know what a digital SLR was but said if it’s bigger than 6×6x6 then it won’t be allowed in. That goes for women’s handbags/purses too! That is an absolute idiotic dimention! Which ladies’ handbag is smaller than 6×6x6 and can hold their stuff for a full day on a golf course? And I agree, why have a comment area when nobody monitors it or is available to provide answers to loyal fans?! What a farce!

Seeing all the questions unanswered you probably won’t be able to tell me if I can access to the President’s cup in an electric wheel chair (of course I would stay on the path). Is there any parking provided for handicapped people ? Yeap, I love watching golf on tv and would love to see the finest players in person even if I’m handicapped…but my chair is bigger than 6 x 6 x 6.
