I too enjoyed watching the golf very very much especially seeing and cheering for Mike (go Mikey)!!! My friend and I had a few misadventures with relying on the bus system and it took us 3 hours to get to the Royal Montreal on most days from Dorval. I have forgotten all about that now and just remember the thrill of being able to attend such an exciting event. I sure hope it will come back to Canada soon.

As I've come to expect from Quebec, another incredible event with the best hostesses putting it all together. From the excellent execution of the logistics to the event itself. All the volunteers were so helpful and accomadating, everyone we encountered always was so happy and proud of their event, their smiles said it. Every part of the Presidents Cup ran smooth...thanks for such a fantastic event!!!

All tourneys are tough to view if you don't strategize to get a vantage point so this was not that different from any other major event in that respect, IMO. I enjoyed the golf very much ONCE THERE which was a different story altogether. Poor, Poor, POOR planning on to-course transportation for those of us staying in downtown Montreal (INCLUDING A CLOSED HIGHWAY SATURDAY A.m.!!!-- could have been the cabbie, as he seemed utterly clueless, but STILL)

Sorry you missed it Steve, I drove from ottawa, and had no problems whatsoever, and had a great time.
I was right by the ropes where drives land at number 10 and had a great view.
Amy Mickelson even smiled at my friend.

It was an exciting and well run tournament from my point of view.

I am writing today to state how poorly I think this event has been staged. From poor parking, to a lack of a coherent and effective busing strategy, to over populating the course making it impossible to see any golf, to malfunctioning score boards, this rendition of the President's Cup is a flop. I hope the golf itself that was played was actually good. (not that any specutator at the course would know). I plan to go home and watch the sunday round at home on TV feeling that I completely wasted my money.

I am writing to say how nice the Nicklaus family is.

The whole Nicklaus family spent the 1976 Chrismas Holidays at Mont-Tremblant.

The family I met is a typical american family, down to earth, casual and every member of the family made you feel at ease.

I do not know if this e-mail will be read by Mr Nicklaus but if does read it I want to say all the best to you and your family.

Mr Nicklaus I was the general manager of Mont-Tremblant at the time you spent your Chrismas Holidays in 1976.

Have a good day,

Attended the practice rounds today and watching the two teams was very enjoyable. Basically the teams were very loose and provided a few chuckles, i.e. the first U.S.team, Woods,Toms,Howell, and Furyk hit their first shots off the 501 yd par 4, 4th hole hole. The Intl team were still on the 4th green. Sabbatini was putting and Tiger hit his shot which landed just short of the green. Sabbatini finished his putting and then proceeded to "stomp" Tiger's ball into the ground. Tiger was laughing like a youngster watching Sabbatini do his dance !!!....by the way,can anybody tell me why Sabbatini did not finish the second nine ???
