Nice coup for the folks at G&G Golf in Vancouver.

A National distributor for several golf-based lines, G&G has struck a deal with rising apparel brand, Straight Down, obtaining the American company’s exclusive rights for all of Canada beginning in 2007.

Straight Down’s latest line of products, the Aero Cool, a hybrid shirt which has the look and feel of classic double mercerized cotton but is blended with wicking and technical applications which gives it the same wearability as many of today’s tech fabrics.

But of even bigger news to the husband/wife team of Gord and Cori German is the licensing agreement G&G has struck to be the official headwear and accessory licensee for the 2007 Presidents Cup, slated for next year in Montreal.

“We’re very excited about it,” says Cori German. “The Presidents Cup is such a unique property and there’s going to be so much interest in it from all across Canada. We feel fortunate to have obtained the rights.”

As national distributors for the Presidents Cup, G&G will supply a full line of headwear and accessories to green grass shops and off-course retailers across the country throughout 2007. They will be on site at Royal Montreal next September when the U.S. meets the International side.
